"Possibly the best Seafoood platter in Scotland"
Our head chef and his team look forward to welcoming you to the dining room at Greshornish House. Menus have flair and imagination and the dishes, using the freshest of local seafood, garden fruit and vegetables, Highland meat and game, Scottish cheeses and other national produce, are individually prepared and beautifully presented. Candlelit dinner, complemented by wine selected from our well-stocked cellar, will be a memorable part of your stay. We would like to believe that you will not eat better on Skye!
During September 2009, Greshornish chef Mac Browning (former executive head chef with Michelin-starred background) together with culinary anthropologist and cooking teacher Anna Colquhoun offered to share techniques and skills in our Cook Skye week, which we hope to stage again in September 2010.

Non-residents are always welcome for lunches and dinners in the dining room, but booking in advance is essential.
Seafood lunches have become a summer season speciality, with fresh crustaceans from the waters of Lochs Greshornish, Snizort and Dunvegan, and local fish from Mallaig and The Minch. These lunches are served daily (except on Mondays) from 12.15 to 2.00 pm from mid June until mid September. Again we strongly recommend that you book in advance to avoid disappointment.
During the rest of the year, pre-booked lunches are always available, with an AGA roast on Sundays, but advance booking is essential.
For candlelit dinners, our three course menu is priced at £38 and is included in the half-board tariff. Our five course menu is £45.
Sample Dinner1 and Dinner2 menus.
If you have any specific dietary requirements or preferences, please be sure to let us know as soon as possible, so that they can be accommodated.
Our chef takes great pride in preparing all dishes to order and the time taken to dine will reflect this.
Breakfast, morning coffee, light lunches, afternoon teas and children's meals are served in the Conservatory, where a light supper can also be taken by prior arrangement.
Awarded a "Gold Plate" by Hotel Review Scotland and with guest comments like: "Don't think twice about dinner; it's fantastic", "The food is as wonderful as ever", "Super super, simply the best!" and "Thanks for the very best fish chowder!" we do not think you will be disappointed.
Please make known any specific dietary requirements at the time of booking.
